Catherine Hunter

Catherine Hunter Catherine has a strong musical background as a teacher, pianist and repetiteur, and has won many major awards for singing and piano.

She has performed various lead roles with Bangor Operatic and Sligo Musical Society, and was musical director for Ballyshannon Musical Society's production of The Sound of Music as well as various school musicals.

Her roles with New Lyric include Pitti-Sing (Hot Mikado), Mrs. Molloy (Hello, Dolly!), Edith The Pirates of Penzance, Mrs Higgins (My Fair Lady), General Cartwright (Guys and Dolls) and The Duchess (Me and My Girl).

She has sung with Castleward Opera, the Performers Club and is a regular soloist at Cavalcade of Song. She has performed throughout Ireland and in France.

Catherine teaches singing at Rockport School and, through her guidance, many of her pupils have won major awards and scholarships in singing.

Other interests include tennis, where she has represented Ulster on many occasions.
