Laura Walker
Laura started ballet and tap dancing at the age of "nearly four" with Marjorie Magill at the Co-op in Belfast's York Street. Shows were a regular part of her life from then on.
She transferred to Maxine Graham to study the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for ballet exams. Having gained her Associate status, she stayed on as teacher, eventually taking over from Maxine. Laura now runs her own successful Ballet School, training children and students for R.A.D. examinations for both Grades and Vocationals.
She has danced with many of the local musical societies, starting at 16 in the Ulster Operatic Company's Harberton Theatre in The King and I. Since then she danced under Ruth Adams for a variety of companies and in venues such as the Little Theatre Bangor, and Belfast's Arts Theatre and Grand Opera House.
Laura has worked as choreographer with various companies both North and South. She teaches on the National Diploma course for Performing Arts at B.I.F.H.E.
