Olive Melville
Since becoming involved in musical theatre, Olive has played leading roles
in over forty shows, not only with her own company, the Ulster
Operatic, but also with other societies, including Festival Productions
in Dublin.
Early in 2006, she completed a short run singing the role of Marcellina in a professional production of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro with Lyric Opera in Dublin's National Concert Hall. Olive returned to us in time to play Lady Battersby in Me and My Girl.
She is also a member of the singing group Musicale, and regularly appears in the annual Cavalcade of Song for the Belfast Festival at Queen's.
Administrative roles within AIMS - both as Northern Regional Secretary and National Registrar - help her keep a finger on the pulse of amateur musical theatre throughout Ireland.
