Roy McIlwrath
Roy is a long-time member of Lisnagarvey
Operatic Society. He joined them in 1976 and has appeared in all of their
shows and pantomimes since then.
He has played many principal roles, gaining a series of awards and nominations including Best Supporting Actor (Northern Ireland Festival), Best Comedian (Waterford Festival) and Best Actor (AIMS).
Roy played Nicely-Nicely in Guys and Dolls in 1996, and made a welcome return to play Arvide Abernathy in the 2004 production of the same show.
He has guested with most of the local societies and is a frequent performer in the AIMS annual showcase, Cavalcade of Song.
