Sean Costello

Sean Costello Sean played Curly in our 2004 production of Oklahoma!, a role for which he was nominated as Best Male Singer in the AIMS Awards.

At a very early age, Seán was gaining recognition as a Voice of the Future when he won many Scór Na Nóg awards representing his school in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo. Shortly afterwards, he went on to take part in many musicals throughout his teenage years.

He has appeared all over Ireland as a guest with many musical societies, and for his efforts has received eight nominations for Best Male Voice, winning the prestigious award on five occasions, most recently for playing the lead role in the European premiere of The Scarlet Pimpernel.

He played the title role in the world premiere of Johnny Angel, has performed at the Waterford Light Opera Festival, and has made several appearances at the National Concert Hall, Dublin as a soloist.

Seán's recent performances have taken him overseas to the Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam where he enthralled audiences with his portrayal and singing in the lead role of King Cormack in the highly acclaimed world premiere of the musical Tara.

He has performed many times on national radio and television, and was a finalist in RTE's Search for a Star competition.

Seán is best known for his musical tributes to Broadway and West End with his successful touring company Centre Stage Productions, which he launched some years ago in his adopted city of Galway.

His CD This is the Moment was a best seller and he hopes to follow it up in 2005 with an album of musical favourites when he takes to the road again with his new show of Andrew Lloyd Webber musical tributes.
