Wilson Caughers

Wilson Caughers Having returned to musical theatre for our production of Guys and Dolls, Wilson realised a long held ambition in having the opportunity to portray the character of Jud Fry in Oklahoma!

His performance earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Male in the 2005 AIMS Awards.

Other roles with the New Lyric include Higgins in My Fair Lady, and small but tasty parts in Showboat, Call Me Madam, and Hello, Dolly!

During the 1990s, Wilson participated in a number of productions with First Act Musical Company, playing the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, Vince Fontaine in Grease, and Gruber in The Joy of Living - a part that earned him a Best Actor Award at the Waterfront Festival of Light Opera.

He gained most of his experience with two of the province's leading drama groups, Clarence and Holywood Players, and in 2005 he embarked on the Drama Festival Circuit with Holywood's production of Alan Ayckbourn's A Chorus of Disapproval.
