Leaving Belfast by the M1:
About 6 miles after the end-of-speed-limit signs, you approach Lisburn.
Don’t take the first turn-off; it’s for the town centre.
A mile-and-a-half later, turn off for Sprucefield (but then
don’t take the first on the left, it’s for the town centre again).
At the big roundabout, take the road marked “Hillsborough”. Keep in the left lane,
because 200 yards later you go round the next roundabout; take the road marked “Banbridge 14”.
A mile later, at another roundabout, take the second left signposted “Newry Dublin”.
(This is not a motorway, it’s only a dual carriageway.)
After eleven miles, leave the dual-carriageway after the big sign “Banbridge Craigavon A26”.
Follow the slip road over the main road and down to the roundabout and turn left for Banbridge.
After 1 mile, be in the left lane going round a left-hand bend before the first traffic-lights.
Go straight through the first traffic-lights and immediately move into the right lane.
Before you know it, you’ll have passed through another two sets of traffic-lights, and then ...
the road wiggles right-and-left to reach a more serious set of lights, where you should turn right.
Amongst the signs at the corner, you might spot a brown one saying “Golf Club 1 mile”.
Near the Golf Club, there is a silly mini-roundabout.
The Golf Club is on the left, 100 yards past the end-of-speed-limit signs.
